Expirations

Not sure if this will be possible, but basically I'm looking for a way to generate an alert when an annual contract is coming up for renewal, just as a reminder for us to check numbers etc before it renews/invoices. None of our contracts have expiry dates though, they just auto renew..... so i'm thinking the current contract expiration alert won't trigger

Correct. You'll need to put an end date on them so they're picked up by an expiration rule. As part of that alert/ticket, you could then just remove the end date from them so they don't actually stop generating invoices.
