Reply-To Email used as Sender for new Tickets?

So, I noticed that Gorelo uses the Reply-To field rather than the actual Sender of an email when creating a Ticket. Is that right/correct & intended functionality?

I actually really like this idea if it is the case, as I'll use this to create some basic form submission templates, etc. for structured email requests, whether for internal use or by clients. Just want to confirm that this functionality is indeed intended and will stay as is?
