Contacts - Adding additional email addresses / aliases issues
Wanting to add a "cc" to a ticket. When I try and add it prompts to search for contact or create a new one. Does this have to be a contact as sometimes useful to include a third party in the thread but not necessarily have them as a registered contact.
Also, I have another scenario where I need to add an alternative email for a contact in a ticket so they receive updates on a personal email address. I have tried to add an alias to the contact record but when I hit "Update" the alias disappears. In this instance adding a Gmail email address as an alias. Anyone experienced this or just me?

Add a third party email, it's one of the tab like public/private
I was under the impression that this creates a completely separate email thread as opposed to being part of the main ticket context (https://feedback.gorelo.io/help/articles/5051040-third-party-conversation). This what you meant?
@Nell from your original question:
Contacts
You would need to add them as an actual Contact to include them in the Public thread of the ticket. There is no way to add a temporary contact on the fly (at this stage). Might be worth adding a feature request as it would be useful and we do have the concept of temporary contacts already.
Aliases
After typing the email address, press enter to add the alias and then 'Update' to save. There looks to be a bug going straight to Update (I'll look into this). However, alias functionality in Gorelo right now only allows receiving via that address -- you can't choose it as a contact or send to it. For your specific scenario, you would need to add them as a standalone contact.
