Invoice Templates/Xero Email Template
Hi
Is it possible to amend the invoice template content, like wording or adding headers/footers? We currently have a custom invoice template we use in Xero that ideally we'd like to keep.
If not, could it be possible to select a Xero email template to use? And could we set the email template at the customer level?...
Script Results
Is there a way to see the results of a script? Someone posted a pop-up window for remote connection that returns the result of yes or no. However, if you leave the CLI window, the result is gone. Visiting the summary page shows the script ran, but no way to review the results.
I was able to modify the script to output to a custom field with yes or no, date and time, but this would be easier if I could just click the name of the script on the timeline and a window would pop up with the results.
Unless I'm missing something? Thanks in advance!...

Thats what I mean, scripts run from the CLI section, the output is not saved anywhere.

Standalone Agent Install, Client & location specific without prompt for license key/silent install?
Possible to achieve this? Wanting to include a client and location specific standalone installer to a client who will include as part of a default image they are rolling out to around 60 endpoints. Be great if they could pop up in the right client/location without any user interaction.
Contracts & Billing
Hi, currently playing with a trial and just trying to get my head around contracts and invoices. Just have a couple of questions to make sure I'm getting it right:
1. For ad-hoc customers who pay by the hour, how do I create an automated invoice on say the 1st of each month that bills the client for all the labour they have used in a month, rolled up into one line? I've created a contract using per hour labor rates, created some tickets and approved the time entries etc, and created an invoice, but it has generated an invoice with separate lines for labor charges for each ticket. Ideally I'd like this to just be one line that says something like Labor charge for 1st June 2025 - 30th June 2025.
2. Can products that are on tickets be invoiced on a separate invoice to the labor?...

I have a new user form (love it) but they slip through the cracks as there's no alert that I can find. Is that automatable?
Groups in Gorelo
Hi, We have a new employee,
we want to restrict access to 1 or 2 customers within Gorelo for tickets and Assets.
Am i correct in assuming, i just need to setup a group, Add the user to the group,
then update the clients and the inbound email tickets with the new group and thats it?...
Solution:
@DragonFang yeah that’s pretty much it. You can remove them from the Everyone group and then add another group specifically for them. Then just add this new group to those specific clients to narrow down what they can see.
They will still see all pinned scripts, generic forms and checklist templates — just so you’re aware....
Auto Dismiss Alerts
We've been wanting to run daily maintenance on assets (like running sfc, or dism). To make sure these scripts actually run I am creating Gorelo Alerts for after they run.
Right now we have a policy that runs a script, that script creates an alert "Asset name is healthy" or "Asset name needed repair" etc. Then I have a custom view called "DISM check"
Since these alerts arent necessarily actionable, we just want to keep track of it's success/failure. Is there a way to auto dismiss the alerts?

Closed Ticket re-opened
Hi guy's, just wondering when i close a ticked as resolved/finished the custoemr gets a ticket closed email, if and when they respond usually with a "thanks" it re-opens the ticket, i then go back and close again, does this then send another closed email to the client?

Hi mate, best approach here would be to do all of this inside a script and a single custom field. Have the script check for the different conditions and write either 'Enabled' or 'Disabled: $reason' to the custom field -- and generate an alert on Disabled with the exact same $reason.
You can have this custom field 'Show on asset list' where you can then sort/filter as necessary. E.g filter by 'Disabled' to see all assets with BitLocker disabled....
Ticket Emails - Template Editor?
Hi, possible to edit the email ticket templates? Would be good to amend the look and feel of these if poss?
Solution:
Just to clarify: navigate to Settings > Email > Settings -- edit your help/support email and go to the 'Email Template Management' tab where you can edit the full HTML template with variables etc.
Gorelo Connect
Right now when we connect to an Asset, it just connects. No notice to the end user. We see under "C:\Program Files\GoreloConnect" a text file get's created called "cm_window_message.txt". This shows that we connected. Is there any way to have a message pop-up on screen that show's we're connected / connecting?

Right now, no. We’re currently building chat that will allow you to communicate to the user and will work on an optional ‘Consent’ popup a bit later on.
Where is Gorelo data stored?
Hi All, I'm trialing at the moment, and have reviewed the security page at https://www.gorelo.io/security/ but I would like to confirm if data for Australian MSPs is stored onshore in Azure Sydney?
Solution:
Azure West US 2 -- so Washington state. We do have a CDN and Gorelo Connect relay in Sydney though. We're nearing the completion of our SOC2 and will then discuss Australia as our next region for data residency... along with a migration path 🙂
M365 Integration / SSO / Portal
First things first, currently trialling Gorelo and really liking what I'm seeing thus far so congrats there and for the launch!
Keen to understand more regarding the M365 integration. I've had a look through the "integrations" section at "https://help.gorelo.io/" but cant see any articles there unless I've missed something?
Within the app I can see the "Microsoft 365" integration that will "Sync contacts, licenses and domains from your M365 partner center" but not 100% sure what this will provide? Does it sync just our company contacts or the tenants and associated users that we have configured GDAP access to? Also in terms of authorisation, I'm assuming we would register an app in our tenant and this would provide the sync auth, although we do not have CIPP setup so can not provide a "CIPP APP URL" currently. This looks to be required....

Hey mate, the current M365 integration is via CIPP. Once you’ve set up CIPP and tested the API as per their docs, just copy and paste the details into Gorelo.
